MANILA, Philippines (3rd UPDATE) – Voting 4-2-1, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has allowed the pro-Aquino group Akbayan to run in the May 2013 elections amid criticisms that the group is no longer marginalized due to its political ties.

MANILA, Philippines --- The Black and White Movement, a party-list group reportedly associated with President Aquino, can no longer participate in the 2013 midterm polls after its application for accreditation was again denied by the Commission on Elections (Comelec), bring to 80 the total number of disqualified parties.
