Dasmarinas City Representative Elpidio Barzaga Jr. has strongly opposed calls to subject to polygraph tests certain resource persons in the ongoing House inquiry into the clash that killed 44 Special Action Force  (SAF) commandos last Jan. 25 in Mamasapano, Maguindanao. 

Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. has welcomed the signing into law by President Benigno Aquino III of a measure deferring the conduct of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections this year to the last Monday of October 2016. 

Dasmarinas City Representative Elpidio Barzaga Jr. has backed the decision of the House of Representatives leadership to stop any move to invite President Benigno Aquino III to its hearings  on the Mamasapano incident that killed 44 elite police officers last January 25. 

The House committee investigating the January 25 incident that led to the massacre of  44 Special Action Force (SAF)  commandos in the town of Mamasapano in Maguindanao will resume its probe on April 7 and 8. 

A measure strengthening the procedures for the registration of voters during the barangay elections has been approved on second reading by the House of Representatives.
