The House of Representatives has passed on second reading a proposed law seeking to reorganize and modernize the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).  

The House Committee on Suffrage and Electoral Reforms has approved a measure disqualifying election bets who fail to vacate their appointive positions at the time they have filed their candidacies before the Commission on Elections. 

A measure mandating a P2,000 across-the-board increase in the monthly pensions of Social Security System (SSS) beneficiaries has finally been approved by the House of Representatives on third and final reading. 

Leaders of the House of Representatives belonging to the National Unity Party (NUP) have threatened to block plans by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to switch to a “hybrid” or a mixed manual-and-automated election system next year. 

The House of Representatives has finally approved and endorsed to the Senate a measure that would ban all forms of hazing activities of fraternities and other similar organizations.
