The House Committee on Labor and Employment  chaired by Davao City Rep. Karlo Alexei Nograles has approved a measure seeking to ensure that the claims of workers are given first priority in case their employers file for bankruptcy.

The Muslim members in the House of Representatives have appealed for sobriety  in assessing the facts and circumstances behind the clash in Mamasapano, Maguindanao that led to the deaths of 44 Special Action Force (SAF) troopers last January 25, 2015.

The Committee on Public Order and Safety and the special panel on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity in the House of Representatives will conduct a joint inquiry on the firefight  between government troops and Muslim insurgents in Mamasapano, Maguindanao, which killed 44 members of the Special Action Force (SAF) last January 25.

The House of Representatives became the first government institution to implement a proactive response to help avert a possible power crisis this year  through an initiative encouraging large electricity consumers to de-load from the Luzon grid by using their backup generators during critical periods.
